What is Infertility – Infertility simply means that your reproductive system is preventing conception. Around 10-15% of couple suffers from this condition every year all over the United States. The couples who are trying to conceive and do not get success seven after a year mostly go for the treatment. Infertility is a common problem among women aged 15-44.

According to the recent stats, only one-third of the cases are of women infertility.  And one-third of the cases is a forum for men, remaining one-third of the cases involve both men and women, or sometimes it is even hard to diagnose the problem. More than 20% of the cases remain untreated due to unknown causes.

  • Age also plays a major factor in infertility, women bodies start producing fewer eggs after the age of 35.

There are multiple causes of infertility in men which includes:

  • Production no sperm cell at all, known as azoospermia.
  • Ability to produce only a few sperm cells known as oligospermia.
  • Before reading eggs sperm end up dying and are malformed.
  • Rare cause includes cystic fibrosisor a chromosomal abnormality is a genetic disorder.

When Is the Right Time to Get the Diagnosis Done?

Mostly both men and women should get the done after trying conception for a year and not getting any success. According to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine women under the age of 35 should get the test done after trying conceiving for a year and women above the age of 35 should get them done after trying to conceive for six months.

Some couples also get the test done before they plan a baby. This gives them the assurance that everything is fine or if there is some problem they can get an early solution to it.
